Avoiding this is easily sorted by reducing the VI’s output gain but if you often work with lots of virtual instruments in Studio One you may find turning down each instrument’s output gain a bit frustrating and a waste of time. The smallest of increases in a VI’s parameter could easily cause an instrument to clip, which isn’t desirable.
